Charls Ava

Born and raised in the USA to Egyptian immigrant parents, she had a long run in New York City working as a hired session singer. She had some moments: singing backup for M.I.A. and once performing for French first lady Carla Bruni. Ultimately, she began to feel a scream within, she left and moved to Cairo to live and make a record. The result was a dynamic rock/electronic album, City With No Name, created with Egypt's pioneering figures in the alt-scene movement, Machine Eat Man and Ganoub Studio. The songs are rebellious, danceable, wired and nervy. The high energy show is strong with Charls on vocals and Ragab on Ableton Live/synths, bringing any stage small or large to life.
