Ras G spends countless hours cooking in the beat-kitchen/information space station know as Spacebase. Producer, DJ, label Curator at Poo-Bah Records, he is one of the earliest members of Flying Lotus Brainfeeder collective (Thundercat, Teebs, ..). He has received spins around the globe from heavyweight such as Gilles Peterson, Benji B and shared stage with Madlib, Kode 9, Dabrye and many more!\nHis live cosmic sets filled with doses of Heavy 808 psychedelic beat soup, punctuated by his trademark "Oh Ras!" shout-outs left crowds wanting more .. be prepared to leave the planet!\n“Since the early 2000s, in the L.A. underground, it's been producer and beatmaker Ras G's m.o. to immerse his work in infectious, unfiltered experimentation, both in content and concept.” – Exclaim..\nBlack Top, the duo of multi-instrumentalist Orphy Robinson and pianist Pat Thomas, is a shape-shifting unit dedicated to exploring the intersection between live instruments and lo-fi technology. Their virtuoso, freely improvised performances combine twisted loops, samples and dub-effects, which draw on their Afro-Caribbean roots, with a spontaneity and daring rooted in experimental free-jazz.
