...And The Hangnails Biography
Punk / Noise Rock / Loud-as-f&*k-guitar-pop.
NME Magazine:
"Rarely is a UK Punk band as exhilaratingly competent as York's ...And The Hangnails."
BBC RADIO 1:
"...a wall of noise from one of the most respected bands from around York and North Yorkshire, this DIY punk duo rattle through songs at a rate of knots. There's no time to catch your breath really. With this raw power and anthemic choruses, no wonder everyone's buzzing about them at the minute." (Jericho Keys on the Huw Stevens Show).
Glastonbury Festival's Emerging Talent:
"It’s rare to find an emerging band as colourful and powerful as this”
Cultured Vultures:
"Consistently brilliant adrenaline shots of 'loud-as-fuck-guitar-pop."
Tim Hornsby - Fibbers, York:
"Frankly they piss all over most other so-called duos, blowing signed bands into the weeds and bemused headline acts wondering just how the **** they can follow THAT???!!! You will be genuinely excited by this act and, come on, how often does that happen?"
BBC Introducing (York & North Yorkshire:
"...And the hangnails packed such a sucker punch on the night I was literally left gaping, open mouthed, and considering there is just two of them the sound scape that just explodes when these guys are on stage is just incredible. Blisteringly brilliant live. Check them out I urge you. They are truly incredible"
...wrote their first album; "No Time For Naysayers" in April 2011 in just 4 days and recorded it entirely using an H2 Zoom dictaphone ...since the first album recording in April 2011, ATH have released 2 albums a couple of EPs and been getting support and airtime from the likes of BBC 6 Music, Radio 1, Awesome Radio.
