Music Nest organise grownup gigs that welcome kids. Having promoted gigs in Brighton for many years, including the popular Lonely Disco night at The Brunswick, Ben and Martha found out they were expecting their first child; this was brilliant but they realised that, like many of their friends, they wouldn't be able to attend gigs as often. Rather than admit defeat and break out the box sets they got organsing.\nMusic Nest aims to bring top quality live music to The Brunswick at a reduced volume, with more light, activities for children and a relaxed atmosphere to noise, breastfeeding and all the other things that come with having children! It's a space that's designed to not just tolerate children but welcome them. The gigs are open to anyone who has a ticket and is up for listening to music in a relaxed and family friendly environment. More details can be found at www.musicnest.co.uk. In November we have the following amazing lineup!\nLucas and King are a truly exciting young duo emerging from Southampton. Songs of exceptional craft delivered with the spine-tingling, unforgettable voice of Bo Lucas and perfectly judged guitar accompaniment from Hayleigh King. They write songs of simplicity and depth that pull influence from classic genres of music, from Country to 60's Pop. They champion 'The song' above all, which you can hear in the melodic intricacies and the honesty of the lyrics. No frills; unassuming, subtle and sincere.\n \nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeCkFcB7f1o\nNick Edward Harris from London has played with and supported many of the leading lights of the modern alternative folk and indie scene from Mumford and Sons and the Moulettes to Courtney Barnett and Rozi Plain. He is also a member of the excellent Patch and the Giant. He is a singer- songwriter whose original and technically impressive guitar playing forms the musical anchor for well-crafted, thoughtful and beautifully sung vocals. Slots at Glastonbury, Green Man, Cambridge Folk Festival, Wilderness and a 'Song of the Day' on BBC 6 music are testament to his growing stature.\n \nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QagcNtDMefw\n10th November 2pm - 4pm - £5 for Adults £1 for under 16s.\n20% off your food bill if you bring your advance ticket to the venue.\nFOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS WE ASK THAT EACH ADULT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR A MAXIMUM OF THREE CHILDREN PLEASE.\nPlease note that whilst the venue and staff are very welcoming and only ticket holders can access the venue, the building as a whole is a public space and we'd ask that children are supervised at all times.\n \nThe Galleons\nwww.thegalleons.com\nwww.facebook.com/thegalleons\nwww.youtube.com/thegalleonsband\nwww.twitter.com/thegalleonsband
