Lisa James Biography
Lisa James is a singer-songwriter whose original music combines elements of pop and Americana with a unguarded twist. She developed a love for music at an early age, practicing violin where she now teaches. She currently plays solo as Lisa James and as a duo with Chelsea Sue.
She is a software ambassador for the projection mapping suite HeavyM. She has been using innovative techniques to provide live 3D projection mapping and light triggers for local bands such as Human Ottoman, Kulululu, and Bubble Cats. As of 2016 she shifted her focus into creating interactive installations that connect her passion of live visuals, audio programming, and 3D soundscapes.
She teaches private and group violin, voice and guitar lessons at Bennett Suzuki Violin Studio. She also teaches Recording Technology I thru III at Portland Community College in the Music and Sonic Arts Program.
