Timothy Yiu

Timothy Yiu, 22, known as 尹黟默 in China, is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter.

Timothy’s musical style is a blend of Folk-rock and Alternative, with Bob Dylan, Gao Xiaosong, The Velvet Underground and The National being among his main influences. He has written a number of works in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and French with violet imagery, metaphors and narrations.

尹黟默，一位多風格多樂器音樂人，受影響於 Bob Dylan 、 Joshua Radin 和高曉松的民謠韻律，又有 The Velvet Underground 和 The National 的另類搖滾能量。其擅用粵語、國語及英語等多種語言，結合獨特的敘事、另類的意象進行音樂創作。

12 歲的尹黟默用粵語 rap 自己的青春期小牢騷，15 歲的他「褻玩」吉他，20 歲的他寫古典樂評，21 歲，他寫詩、撰評論專欄、泡畫廊、影相、拍紀錄片，也是獨立樂隊經紀助理，亦任實習英文教師。22歲，他深明自己內心深處那片樂壤，曾埋下的種子經已漸發芽，他決定讓她們茁壯成長，以回應生命中一個個無價時刻。

經年摸爬滾打於珠三角文藝圈，2019年6月，他發表首支玩味英文單曲《Cracked Up Sandwich Boy》。

2019下半年，由街頭、Livehouse至音樂廳，他的演出遍及粵港澳各地。10月，擁有歌作五十餘首的他發表另類專輯《陋室銘》，獨立完成作詞、作曲、演唱、編曲、演奏及設計等工作。

此外，他組建了「尹黟默與樂隊」。
