Halloween, Gatsby Style \nNo one liked a fancy-dress party more than the Jazz Age smart set—and what better excuse than Halloween? For spooky fun with a more elegant style, come and join our 1920s Halloween Ball in a long-forgotten east London hall, lit by candelabra and flickering jack-o-lanterns, where a host of ghostly flappers and gory gangsters, coquettish witches, black cat minxes and dapper devils, will frolic in two rooms of entertainment. \nThe Ballroom will be hosted by that impish impresario, Lord of Cabaret Misrule Champagne Charlie, introducing live music from swing band the Bubbly Boys, accompanied by Charleston dance troupe the Gatsby Girls showing you how it’s done. When the band aren’t playing DJs the Bee’s Knees will be spinning platters by long-dead artists for your shimmying pleasure.\nThere will also be a three-course dining menu to preorder, or the option to reserve tables with Champagne.\nMeanwhile in the Cabaret Lounge there will be another bar where drinkers will be wooed by the Creep Quartet, a string quartet playing classic horror movie themes, followed by two variety shows hosted by musical Weimar androgyne Victor Victoria, of the award-winning East End Cabaret, with burlesque from Ruby Deshabillé , hula action from Polly Hoops, and uncanny magic and mind-reading from Neil Kelso. \nAnd if stepping back into the past is not enough for you, our foreboding fortune tellers Lucius and Foxglove will be on hand to predict your awful future…\nDress code: 1920s dress mandatory, with an optional Halloween flourish

Swing'it Biography
Swing’it is the story of a group of dappers diggin’ the 20s era. Founded by the Norwegian band leader Martin Jarl whilst studying jazz music in London, this band has developed into one of the most successful trad jazz bands in Norway and Europe. They take the audience on a journey 100 years back in time to the 1920s New Orleans, telling stories about the roaring 20s and the foundation of jazz; about glamour, glitter and the Great Gatsby; about bootleggers, speakeasies and illegal parties during the Prohibition and flappers and dappers partying their nights away in the opulence and decadence of the Golden Era!
Their music is the perfect blend between vintage and modern; inspired by the old, but presented fresh and new. Taking the traditional jazz for what it actually was – party music – and mixing it with poppy arrangements and a great live show results in a unique atmosphere that puts a smile on everyone’s face. Due to their versatility and flexibility they’re performing shows for all age groups and to every occasion, spanning from jazz clubs and speakeasies; cocktail clubs and high class events; Gatsby parties and Prohibition events to corporate events, weddings and cruise ships.
Their first single released in 2019 – Party Like it’s 1923 – along with it's electro spin remix was a big success, streaming more than 1 million on Spotify during the first year. Their debut EP – 1923 – was released in April 2020
