About this concert
Featuring Special Guest Performance By Vivian Green. A brand new line-up of contestants competes for the chance to perform during the October 10th Show Off and move on to Top Dog on November 15th. It all leads to the chance of winning the title of Super Top Dog and the cash prizes of $5,000 in the Child Star category and $20,000 in the Adult category on November 21st! Aspiring musicians, singers, dancers, comedians, rappers and spoken word artists try their best to please the audiences that can make them an Apollo legend. Get ready to cheer or jeer as you decide who stays and who gets booted off stage. At Amateur Night, you tell the performers to be good or be gone! Amateur Night at the Apollo is hosted by the comedian Capone. Each show begins with a festive pre-party featuring video and music by DJ Jess. And keep a lookout for C.P. Lacey, the resident Executioner who sweeps bad talent off the stage.

Vivian Green Biography

Vivian Green (born 1979) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and pianist.

Green was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and took an interest in singing, playing the piano, and songwriting at a very young age. At the age of thirteen, she became a member of a female quintet called Younique. Green received her big break at the age of nineteen when she became a backing singer for Jill Scott, who took her on an international tour. She was signed to Columbia Records in November 2001. Green released her first album, featuring the hit "Emotional Rollercoaster", in November 2002 in the U.S. and February 2003 in the United Kingdom. Her second album, featuring the first single "Gotta Go, Gotta Leave (Tired)", was released almost three years later, in June 2005. Green was engaged to Erik Tribbet, a drummer from nearby Camden, New Jersey, with whom she has a son named Jordan.
