Slow Pilot

Slow Pilot's debut album 'Gentle Intruder' (released 2018) is anything but a first acquaintance. The voice of frontman Pieter Peirsman probably sounds familiar as of 2016 he was the first male vocalist of Hooverphonic. Two years earlier he released a first EP, with national acclaim. 'Dance the night away' was a single with appearances on Belgian radio and television.
Jasper Maekelberg (Faces On TV, Warhaus), was enlisted as producer for the full album, that was recorded in the Brussels ICP studios, the ideal setting for the warm melancholy that sneaks into every song. Afterwards, a full string orchestra was added with great care to a number of songs, including the title track 'Gentle Intruder' which was picked as first single of the album.
Slow Pilot has taken his time, which you can hear. The album breathes a timeless character, regardless of any trends or hypes. Sometimes sober and small, sometimes supported by subtle string arrangements, but always with a prominent place for compelling melodies and the penetrating voice of Peirsman.
