About this concert
Join Billboard charting singer/songwriters Cassandra Kubinski and Tony Daniels, plus your fellow pet loving community, in a National Pet Month celebration and benefit concert. Ticket sales benefit the Humane Society of NY, Helping Lost Pets, and Howl of a Dog rescue. This tail-wagging event will feature a pre-show reception with complimentary beverages, snacks, and a raffle (prizes include goodies for pets AND the people who love them!), flow into an upbeat and family friendly concert and adoption discussion with a Humane Society representative, and conclude with an artist meet-and-greet, and community mingling in the lobby and courtyard of the wonderful and whimsical St. John’s in the Village. The Humane Society of NY will also be present to introduce guests to some of their adoptable animals, answer any questions about adoption, and begin the adoption process for those interested. The event is named “You Get Me” because that’s the way we feel about our pets! It’s also the name of a song written and produced by Kubinski and Daniels, which currently donates all sales to pet rescue groups (available on all digital music retailers). The pair recently teamed up with music distribution company ONErpm to produce a montage music video for the song, featuring a variety of NY-based models, actors, and Instagram-famous dogs, including Adrian Grenier, Jam Murphy (Wilhelmina fitness model), Agador and Fred (from Pooch of NYC), Charlie and Sawyer, and more! The video comes out on Friday, May 17, so this event will also celebrate the release of the video and it’s message of how unique and fun the love between people and pets can be. “You Get Me” was originally released in February 2019 and animal lovers can enjoy the original music video, plus a montage video of rescued dogs from European rescue group Howl of a Dog. Kubinski’s last two EPs, Holiday Magic and Onward, charted at #46 and #97 respectively on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. She and Daniels opened for the Goo Goo Dolls and 10,000 Maniacs in Buffalo NY in a concert that helped raise over $30,000 for Autism Awareness. She has also performed with or opened for the likes of Caroline Jones, Hudson Taylor, Dickie Betts, Anna Nalick, Jill Sobule and more. Her music has been licensed to TV shows from ABC to NBC, including 13 placements on hit show Dance Moms, which led to millions of views on user-uploaded videos of her songs on Youtube. Songs from Holiday Magic played alongside hit artists on Pandora’s Mariah Carey Holiday Radio, Today’s Hits Holiday Radio, and Sia Holiday Radio throughout the 2018 holiday season. She was also the bandleader (with Tony Daniels in the band) for seasons 1 and 2 of Emmy-winning new media talk show The Never Settle Show with Mario Armstrong. Piano man Billy Joel has this to say about Kubinski: "Cassandra Kubinski is very similar to the singer/songwriters of the late 70's...proves that the genre (singer/songwriter) can still be transcendent." - Billy Joel Don't miss this unique and rare concert opportunity to make a difference for pets in need, and meet your fellow pet loving community!

Cassandra Kubinski Biography

Lauded for her songwriting and performing chops by the likes of Billy Joel and Livingston Taylor, theatrical folk pop singer-songwriter Cassandra Kubinski serves up her piano-driven tales of love and ambition with a combo of whimsical, poignant, and snarky. From living rooms to Barclays Center, her powerful, soulful voice calls us to trust, love, and let go.

Cassandra's roots are in suburban Connecticut with her parents and two sisters, listening to Billy Joel and musical theatre. Early on, she was putting on circuses, Halloween plays, and concerts for the neighborhood, and later graduated valedictorian of her high school, heading to Florida State University for a BA in Theatre. Graduating in 2 years, she moved to NYC to pursue singer/songwriter stardom.

She began performing in Drama Desk-nominated musicals and NYC clubs. Piano man Billy Joel offered a personal invitation to his concert after he found her song “Cradle the Moon” on Myspace. Since those early days, the stories she has collected found their way into her melodic, fiery, sensual, dramatic compositions, which in turn found their way onto seven albums, multiple singles, TV shows like “Dance Moms” (13 songs and counting), NBC promos, a Sundance film (DARE), radio and advertisements.

And whether she’s rocking a piano and mic onstage, singing or voicing commercials (Capitol One, Kohls, Homegoods, Maybelline, Snickers) or writing for other pop acts, those who know her expect her signature wit, humor and romance no matter which endeavor she’s taking on.

Cassandra worked with John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls and Mary Ramsey of 10,000 Maniacs to release "Not So Different", a song for Autism benefitting the Institute for Autism Research. You can find the song on itunes and Google Play listed under "Not So Different" by Ladies First feat. John Rzeznik. All proceeds go to Autism programs.

Other highlights include "You Get Me" from album DREAMS, which has helped raise over $25,000 for pet rescue groups; and her two Billboard charting albums Onward and Holiday Magic. She also served as the first female bandleader and composer for The Never Settle Show, produced by Al Roker Media and hosted by Mario Armstrong.
