Jesse Montoya Biography
Montoya plays many venues and events in Jacksonville including The Riverside Arts Market, Deep Search Records, Downtown Art Walk, Underbelly, The Cummer Museum, Burro Bar, Grape & Grain Exchange and more. In 2013 Montoya had the great honor of playing with nationally famous acts Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion. She was also among the top ten vote gatherers in the “Music” category for One Spark 2014, The Worlds Crowd Funding Festival. Montoya’s first album, “Jesse Montoya, Guitar & Voice” debuted in the Fall of 2014. Her music is a mix of folk, country, blues and is inspired by artists Paul Simon, Mississippi John Hurt, Etta James, Ry Cooder and Patsy Cline. Montoya’s performance has been described as engaging, upbeat and heartfelt. “With a background in art, music and photography, Montoya creates a relaxing atmosphere…” – Folio Weekly 2013 Finger-style acoustic guitarist and singer song writer from Jacksonville FL. Recently awarded Florida Solo Artist of the Year 2015.
