Monterey

Monterey was born in the New Brunswick music scene in 2011. Practicing, playing, and living in basements for several years developing themselves as musicians, Monterey found their sound. After recording several EP's in various studios across NJ they were introduced to the people at Lakehouse Studios in Asbury Park. The band worked with engineer Tim Pannella (The Frontbottoms "Rose") and clicked instantly. In three days the new EP "Sailors" was finished. Capturing a darker vibe but with relentless energy, the four-song EP is a cohesive work with melodies that will not leave your head. Having played shows in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, and North Carolina this past year, the band is looking to expand it's reach even further with a tour in early 2015. Monterey has opened up for Pepper and The Dirty Heads and has been on the bill with other great acts such as River City Extension, The Front Bottoms, and Brick + Mortar.
