Gentlemen of the Woods Biography
Gentlemen of the Woods is a five-person band from Ottawa, Ontario. They bring music from the hinterlands, where Americana sounds cross with Canadian folk tales. They write catchy songs with an old-timey feel and play them with heart, wit, and a deep sense of history.
On 'This Great Unknown,' their second album, the band reflects on themes of middle-age regret and optimism. Produced by Dave Draves at Little Bullhorn Studios, the album is 11 songs about bad choices and better days ahead, performed with all the band's trademarks: memorable melodies, banjo clatter, rootsy rhythms, swaggering lead guitar, and soaring harmonies.
