Bogey and the Viceroy

The latest musical endeavor to spring from the House of Kingsized, Bogey & the Viceroy is an Atlanta dance band who cover classic soul and r&b from every era along with retro rock/pop and today's current chart-toppers. Whether performing as a 5 piece with Bogey and his rhythm section or as an 8 piece band with horn section, Bogey and the Viceroy's blend of "Swanky Soul to Rock n' Roll" and energetic showmanship lead to packed dance floors and good times.

Born in New Orleans and raised only blocks away from the legendary Fats Domino, bandleader Bogey Thornton has been entertaining audiences all over the map for the past 20 years with his signature brand of swanky soul. Bogey's sweet voice embodies the ease and sophistication of iconic 60's crooners like Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye.

The Viceroy band is comprised of Atlanta music scene veterans who perform regularly with Kingsized, Cadillac Jones, Joe Gransden's Big Band and Tongo Hiti. Members of Viceroy have also performed/ recorded with such varied acts as Cee Lo, Ciara, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Natalie Cole, Band of Horses, Perpetual Groove, Wilco, The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Tortoise, Tito Puente, Jr., Spoon, and Kelis.
