Decisions Biography

2013 brings new beginnings for metalcore band Decisions, who have been through a lot in the last year - member changes and a shift both in sound and musical dynamics have helped the band march through adversity that would decimate similar bands. Taking a break after some significant member changes, the band recently played Deland Rock and Metal Festival, one of the premiere festivals for heavy music in Florida with bands like Dark Sermon (EOne Heavy), Seven Kingdoms, and Tetrarch. Their upcoming EP Faults and Failures, which has an overlying concept of getting up after you fall and rising to the occasion when things seem hopeless, is set to be released in the Fall of 2013. The young band, having been around for over 2 years, is sure to be an important release for Decisions. "Our live show is like a step below The Chariot", says vocalist Trevor Cregan. The EP, which takes influences from bands like Converge and Texas In July, is a fast and unrelenting effort that sees the band reaching new heights with their sound. Having toured with Every Hand Revealed and The Human Condition at various stops in Central Florida, Decisions have proven their work ethic time and time again. Decisions has played with a number of diverse bands, including opening for Asking Alexandria, As I Lay Dying, and Memphis May Fire on the Monster Outbreak Tour. They've played with bands as diverse as Mureau, A Hero A Fake, Life As A Ghost, Ice Nine Kills, Us From Outside, and a coveted opening slot for Evergreen Terrace in early 2013. Pretty elite company for a band from Central Florida. The band also filmed a music video for "A Modern Day Atlas" with Philip Reardon (former vocalist of From First To Last), which was premiered on Introduce Yourself Zine in 2013. The next year will be huge. New music, new shows, new "decisions" to make. You'd be wise to hop along for the ride - combining a solid work ethic with the ability to draw a crowd isn't a small thing in today's market.
