Ladyfang

Ladyfang (formerly A Case for Brooklyn) is an indie rock, alternative band originally formed in Austin in late 2013. Their music is upbeat, eccentric, funky and folksy with an otherworldly vibe and a flare for the frenetic. Singer, Cara Juan, has been compared to Bjork and Gwen Stefani and her haunting howls and melodic nuances lead the band's unique sound. Their performances are passionate and thunderous, filled with chaotic dancing and an unencumbered playfulness. They relocated to Brooklyn in 2014 and released their first single, "All Your Money" in 2016. Independent Music News called it a "devilishly zesty song". That same year, the band returned to Austin with a new name and lineup. In early 2017, the band released their newest single, "How Long," which OVRLD described as an anti-romance song with a "lovably unhip" and sincere sound. The single is one of many songs to be featured on the band's upcoming album, which will be released in February.
