Lynne's Live Lounge presents...an evening with Paul Hawksworth. The Sheffield singer/songwriter marks the release of his latest single 'Shining Bright' with a long-awaited headline show. A chance to catch Paul in a unique space, bringing his music to an intimate audience of fans for a truly one-off event. A bit about Paul... Preserving a natural and honest feel to his music is of paramount importance to singer-songwriter Paul Hawksworth, and this approach serves his intimate and stripped-back sound well. Spearheaded by his devotion to songwriting and performing he has seen two of his songs recently reach the finals of the 2017 UK Songwriting Contest. Reminiscent of Passenger and Jack Savoretti Paul’s sound is steeped in acoustic folk and warm-hearted singer/songwriter. A unique voice with a soft, dusty tone; utterly dynamic. Since drawing proceedings to a close with former indie/rock band The Monday Club in 2015, Paul Hawksworth has been crafting his own material and launched his debut single ‘Be the Light’ which reached number 8 on the iTunes singer-songwriter chart. As a sought after instrumental tutor, Paul divides his time between writing, performing and teaching; focussing 100% of his energy on his music. Citing key influences including David Gray, Neil Finn (Crowded House) and Carole King, the Sheffield tunesmith aims to offer listeners songs that stand the test of time. Paul’s second single ’Shining Bright’ was released on 19th April 2019 and is available on all major platforms. With follow up singles, a debut EP and live shows 2019 promises to be an exciting year for the Yorkshire based artist.
