New to Irishfest La Crosse this year is the energetic band Seo Linn! They will provide a fresh and exciting experience of Irish language and culture. You will leave their show with at least a few words of the Irish language! With their first American tour proving to be a big hit last summer, Seo Linn are now gearing up for another US tour this year. Having brought their infectious energy and exciting Irish cultural stage show to Milwaukee Irish Fest and Iowa Irish Fest, the boys are looking to play even more shows on their 2019 tour. Seo Linn's performances superbly blend together the old and the new, meshing Irish traditional instruments and songs with pop-folk music, with the native Irish language (an Ghaeilge) meandering flawlessly in and out of their set. ​Seo Linn met in the rolling hills of Connemara in the West of Ireland. With 3 elementary school teachers in the band, the boys taught the Gaelic Irish language to students in Galway for years before deciding to record famous pop songs in the language, even recording YouTube videos to go with the songs. After these videos received unprecedented attention worldwide, garnering over 35 million hits to date, the boys decided to form a band and take their music on the road. Today Stiofán, Keith, Kev and Daithí are accomplished musicians who have played everything from festivals to headline shows to sports arenas. ​
