Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon (born March 22, 1976) is an American actress best known for her roles in Legally Blonde and Walk the Line.
She has garnered critical praise and awards for her turn as June Carter Cash in Walk the Line. Before her death in 2003, Carter Cash personally selected Witherspoon to play her.
