After honing his talents for more than 20 years David Jay is now one of the most acclaimed DJs in his paradise island of Mauritius. He is also a trusted music curator at exclusive hotels and restaurants working with establishments to create a signature sound for their venue. Aside from DJing across the island all year round. David Jay loves to share his passion by teaching others how to DJ. He couldn’t be prouder of his students evolving in the top 10 DJs of Mauritius each in their own different style.

David Jay’s signature blend of Deep House to Progressive House with detours of Funky and Groovy House are both captivating and uplifting. Thankfully, David Jay does not discriminate against other types of music. His versatility is unquestionable, playing to the masses or to smaller audiences, music ranging from the 80's classics to more modern styles. Regardless of the group size or style he transports the crowds
to a europhic paradise rendering his listeners carefree and invigorated.

David Jay was inspired by his cousin DJing at his own birthday party. He observed everyone getting on their feet to enjoy the music with a huge smile on their face and from that moment on, he was hooked on the art of DJing. Once he was exposed to being in control of the decks he couldn’t get enough of the beats. He was immediately addicted to the vibe, the crowd, the atmosphere and the pure thrill of controlling a room through the medium of music. It was the start of a successful career which has taken David Jay around the globe doing what he enjoys most in life; sharing his passion and journey through his evolving style and skilful mixing ability. David Jay has played at all major international events such as Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, Cream, Global Underground, Social Buzz Music Festival and more.


Reputation and experience have opened many doors for David Jay and he has been called to different corners of the world to play in renowned clubs such as Ministry of Sound in London, Macomba, Bora Bora in France, Spain, South Africa, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Greece and the list goes on. He had the pleasure to warm up and experience the musical techniques and skills of phenomenal global DJs such as David Guetta, Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, Nick Bridges "Bodyrox", Dave Seaman, Nick Warren, Otto Knows, Martin Solveig and many more.

With all his experience and acquired skills David Jay is now exploring the world of production. He has released his own tracks which are infused with his soulful, funky, house beats, captivating basslines and occasional vocal
