Louis Waymore Biography
Louis Waymore is a band, not a person. But if he was a person, he'd be someone you might recognize. Someone familiar.
The same can be said for Louis Waymore's debut release. It's not "retro." Not a regeneration of something done before, but yet it's still familiar and easy to recognize for fans of true country music. Songs that still have their roots in the rural world, where blowing off some steam on Saturday night is as important a tradition as repenting on Sunday morning. By featuring both male and female vocals (with powerhouse singers Erin Wise and Adam Barbour) these songs offer relatable perspectives on the struggles and joys of life in the part of the world not overtaken by glossy hair-metal guitars and kids singing about the trucks their parents bought them.
Nowhere is the difference of gender perspectives as evident, or as humorous, as the title track "She's Got A Gun." Here the listener gets to enjoy the counter points of each sex as the characters navigate the close calls of ending a relationship "not on good terms."
This release makes a point that there's still room for well written songs genuinely delivered. If you're among the growing group of music lovers that agree with that sentiment, this collection is worth your listen!
