The band organizes their shows with community in mind. Hosting them in venues centered around the local art scene in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. Featuring painters, photographers and performing artists. The cover art for their three-part EP project, ‘Mid-Western’, is all done by the legendary Mexican painter Jose Piña Moralez who you can still find on 18th St., teaching classes to the neighborhood’s youth. Consisting of Edgar Elio Diaz (vocals), Siul Esoj Reynoso (guitar), Mark Rendon (guitar), Cristobal David Mora (drums) and Alexander Sanchez (bass), LOS GOLD FIRES are here to reveal the truth. Forget Sunday Funday. In more of a Lazy Sunday style, TANUKICHAN's forthcoming album of lo-fi dream pop is aptly named after the last day of the weekend. Hanna van Loon's wispy vocals soar over a bed of fuzzy guitars, a sound that will appeal to fans of FRANKIE ROSE and VIVIAN GIRLS. Sunday, which lands July 13, is a collaboration with TORO Y MOI, who produced the album and provided backing instrumentation. Van Loon, who is from the Bay Area, previously played with TRAILS AND WAYS. Sunday is her first solo full-length, and it will be released on TORO Y MOI's Company Records.Jangly psychedelic soul man SEAN GREEN debuts his joyful love ballads reminiscent of hazy rock & roll from the 60s. GREEN is no stranger to the stage, having played in popular garage punk band FLESH PANTHERS. His solo work takes a more laid-back approach to soulful rock with elements of shimmering synths and chorus soaked guitar licks. This is some happy time cheese.
