Stranded

This Stranded has nothing to do with the american Stranded that existed in the 90´s.

I. Striker has brawled in certain punkbands from the late 80’s. The most famous and longlasting of them was L.A.M.F. with Sid Razor. They made few records and got some questionable reputation till the early 2000’s. There was always something going on at their gigs and their provoking and energic style didn’t reach everyone. Certain punk circles took the band as their target and still nowadays the name is like swearword for some people. Band faded away because of the contradictions inside. I. Striker and Sid carried on and soon found a drummer Artsi, who has played in Finnish ramopunk bands like Hairikot for example. (Artsi played in first demo, but soon decided to left the band. Nowadays doing recording work and actually recorded band’s second demo). Still a guitarist was a one to find. That’s always been pretty hard in Helsinki. After a longtime searching I. Striker pumped into Wayne at the Flogging Mollys gig. For both of them that evening is quite hard to remember afterwards... Anyway, the band was now put together. Band’s name was straight inspired by The Saints song “Stranded”. Wayne played in Nollaseiska from 1997 till 2002. Nollaseiska reached some decent success and toured with legendary T.V. Smith in Finland in the year 2001. Band made one album and several singles but, as L.A.M.F., faded away because of the contradictions and distances of members’s hometowns. Wayne also played in poprock band called Lehtivihreat after Nollaseiska. Henry joined the band in early 2005 after Wayne asked him to try to play drums for the band. Everything went quite good though his drumming before was much more hardcore-style. Henry played in Endstand and toured with them for several years in Europe. One of their tours contained almost every country of Europe and it was made in 50 days. He played in two of their albums and couple MCDs. So, all the pieces seem to fit now and the band is ready.
