Nova Heart

Helen, the ex-lead singer of Pet Conspiracy quit the band after their third European tour in November 2010 to dedicate more time to her other band Free The Birds / Ziyo 自游. When she and her partner DJ Metro Tokyo took some time off in Istanbul, they met producer Rodion in a chance encounter, which gave birth to Nova Heart. After returning to Beijing, Helen sent her self-produced tracks 3,000 miles down to Rome where Rodion would tap them with his magic disco wand. The outcome is a mix of sexy psychedelic disco with lo-fi ethereal pop vocals. A sinister disco beat buried under haunting soundscapes makes it sound like as if ghosts are dancing under a mirrorball. The participation of Wang Hui (Free the Birds) on the guitar and ex-Hedgehog member Bo Xuan on the bass ensures that fans of 70s psychedelic rock will love Nova Heart's sound as much as some of Europe′s most sought after DJs.
