Porthos

Giuseppe Pugliese, Porthos by stage name, was born in Siena on the 15th of
april 1998.
Porthos presents his self also by the physical interpretation of
his music. He communicates with the spaces as well as his
audience charging his perfomance with bits of theatre,
establishing a dialogue.
His stage formation may vary from one to eight. Some of his
fellow musicians are Federico Buccini for keys and piano,
Jose Ramon Caraballo at cuban percussion, voice and trumpet, Shanti Colucci for drums, Moussa Bonaventura at el.bass and duuble-bass, Alessandro
Recanati at electric guitar, Andrea Serino at trombon, Giacomo Serino at trumpet.

Lately Porthos is bringing his projects in different festival
occasions such as the "oltre verso" oganized by Dominio
Pubblico. Internationally speaking, he is involved in the
Floating Castle fastival 2022/2023 and the Jeff Festival 2023.
He played at Piazza del Campo in Siena with his Carnival Band on 04/03/2025, a formation with 12 musicians,4 actors, jesters and other, showing his new concept album "Questo Grande Show".

Porthos is to be considered an eclectic musician and a multi-
instrumentalist: guitar, cuban drums, piano, tombone and
voice. He nicely infuses his expressions with melodies and
sound enshrined into the italian singer-songwriter tradition;
introspective, immaginative and welcoming. His music lies
down on intertwined threads of irony and inner awareness so
that his lyrics are ever looking for various colours and genres.
Porthos gathers vitality and dinamicity from music influences
such like pop, alternative, latin, ethinic, progressive. He
carefully manages to introduce many of these sounds within
his emotional researches and mild critics making his music
suprisigly funny and accessible.
