Exploring everything from Duke Ellington to Bikini Kill in her repertoire, this creative, versatile, and virtuoso performer hails from Seattle and loves being on the road. She has just released the critically acclaimed Enamiĝo Reciprokataj via Origin Records. The album has reached 144 on the Jazz Week Top 300 chart and is getting radio airplay nationally and internationally. Anjou is one of a few to study, record and tour music with godmothers of punk, The Shaggs. She has also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Wynton Marsalis, Ernestine Anderson, Clark Terry and Elysian Fields.
