Alyse Young is a singer-songwriter and musician based in Lafayette, Louisiana. She has been performing at restaurants, festivals, weddings, and other events for nine years, singing and playing guitar and ukulele. Alyse has released an album, two EPs, and a single. Her original songs have been recognized as finalists in the International Songwriting Competition and the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Alyse's music journey began in early childhood, inspired by artists like Taylor Swift, Colbie Caillat, and John Mayer. At the age of 7, she started taking guitar lessons, followed by vocal lessons shortly after. At 11 years old, she wrote her first song. Alyse's passion for songwriting continued to grow as she attended the arts academies of LJ Alleman Middle School and Lafayette High School.
