About this concert
BIG 3-0 PARTY LIKE IT’S 1989 Three Decades, Three Bands, Three Classic Albums Gun, FM and Dan Reed Network To Celebrate Anniversaries In Style TAKING ON THE WORLD, TOUGH IT OUT and SLAM will be performed in their entirety as Christmas comes early for rock fans ready to revisit a golden era and celebrate a slew of fist-pumping anthems. The year was 1989. Three ambitious bands were set to challenge the old guard and breathe new life into radio-friendly rock. Gun fired the first shots: TAKING ON THE WORLD hit stores in the summer of 1989 and five top 75 singles followed. Better Days and Shame On You both cracked the Top 40 and the band made their Top Of The Pops debut. FM and Dan Reed Network joined the party in October – the former releasing TOUGH IT OUT and the latter dropping SLAM. FM had just come off the final leg of Bon Jovi’s record-breaking Slippery When Wet tour when they holed up in London to record the follow-up to Indiscreet. The Desmond Child co-write Bad Luck led the way on what would become a melodic rock masterpiece. Meanwhile, Reed and his Network dialled into the demand for something different – using celebrated producer Nile Rodgers to inject some serious funk into their soft rock mix. The addictive Slam spawned four singles and secured support slots with both Bon Jovi and the Stones. Fast forward three decades and three iconic bands will celebrate three fabled albums at 10 special shows across the UK in December. Ticket pre-sale from 9am Monday 15 April 2019 General on-sale from 9am Wednesday 17 April 2019

FM Biography

FM formed in London, England in 1984 and quickly hit the road touring with the likes of Meat Loaf, Tina Turner, Foreigner, Gary Moore, Status Quo and the white-hot Bon Jovi on their "Slippery When Wet" tour.

For the next 12 years FM consolidated their position at the forefront of British melodic rock, touring everywhere they could to promote releases such as their 1986 debut INDISCREET, 1989's TOUGH IT OUT album, APHRODISIAC released in 1992 and 1995's DEAD MAN'S SHOES.

In 2007 - after a 12 year sabbatical - FM were persuaded to return to the stage for a 'one-off' headline performance at a sold-out Firefest IV at Nottingham Rock City. The rapturous reception from the fans at Firefest led to FM quickly making the decision to record a new album and following a return to Firefest in 2009, in March 2010 FM released their much-anticipated sixth studio album METROPOLIS.

FM have continued to tour consistently and when not on the road they have been busy in the studio. Since their 2010 'comeback' album they have released 2013's double helping of ROCKVILLE and ROCKVILLE II; HEROES AND VILLAINS in 2015 and INDISCREET 30 - a new 2016 recording of FM's classic debut album to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its release.

ATOMIC GENERATION was released on 30 March 2018, featuring the lead track "Black Magic". The radio single "Killed By Love" has proved to be a popular addition to the live set.

2019 saw the release of THE ITALIAN JOB on 22 February via Frontiers Records - a live recording of their set at Frontiers Rock Festival in April 2018 - on Blu-ray and as a DVD/CD package. FM toured throughout the year including European dates with Skid Row and festivals including Graspop, Sweden Rock, Ramblin' Man Fair and Barcelona Rock Fest. The year ended with December's Big 3-0 Tour - a triple headline bill with Dan Reed Network and Gun for the 30th anniversary of their 1989 albums Tough It Out, Slam and Taking On The World.

2020 brings the release of FM's twelfth studio album SYNCHRONIZED on 22 May via Frontiers Music S.r.l.
