BACARDÍ invites you to Do What Moves You this summer by bringing music, people and culture together under one roof with great tasting drinks at CASA BACARDÍ, The home of BACARDÍ music.\nOn the 7th of July, Stefflon Don will host the show as part of a new nationwide BACARDÍ music campaign called Do What Moves You, with support on the night from Afro-swing artist Kojo Funds plus local Birmingham talent including producer Swifta Beater, rapper Dapz On The Map and MC Roxxxan.\nTickets are just £5 and proceeds from all ticket sales will go to the award-winning non-profit Lonely Whale Foundation. Dapz On The Map Biography
Dapz (aka DAPZ ON THE MAP) is part of the next generation of great urban grime mc/singers. Born in Birmingham, he grew up with Caribbean influences, from Sean Paul & Red Rat to the new sounds of underground grime and rap, THE MOVEMENT & BBK. He combines it all into his own neo-soulful sound, which he developed in Wolverhampton studio with the guidance from friend/producer DJ Apostle. His excellent sound is truly unique, with many members from the Birmingham elite group of MCs such as Invasion, Stayfresh & Lady Leshurr, to being cosigned by major UK artists such as Professor Green, Shola Ama, BBK & Ghetts. Dapz OTM songs touch on various issues, both personal and political. He talks of the struggle aspiring artist go through, trying to be a father and a musician. Soft-spoken yet intense in his passion for words and music, Dapz is a commanding presence well beyond his years, so it's no surprise that he's won over audiences around the UK. One of Birmingham's foremost performers, Dapz On The Map is about to release his solo project (DSAW) during the coming months, coinciding with a UK tour to promote it. On this one he has gone from just mc’ing to singing and co-producing most of the tracks himself with a few selective collaborators. The result is a much more varied and tighter sounding record than his previous projects, but it’s still nowhere close to hearing him live.
