Jeden z najsłynniejszych polskich zespołów bluesowych. Założony w 1965 jako Blackout przez Tadeusza Nalepę i Mirę Kubasińską. W 1968 roku zespół zmienił nazwę na Breakout. Charakterystycznym elementem muzyki Breakoutu jest "lamentująca" gitara Tadeusza Nalepy[jednego z najlepszych, jeśli nie najlepszego, w historii polskich gitarzystów], oraz głos Miry Kubasińskiej. Jedyny i niepowtarzalny taki duet w historii polskiego bluesa. Historia Breakoutu kończy się w 1980 roku. Zespół nazywany jest ojcem polskiego bluesa.

Breakout is the most famous Polish blues rock band formed in 1968. Formed in 1965 as Blackout. In 1968 the band has changed name to Breakout. The characteristic for Breakout music is sound of Tadeusz Nalepa guitar and voice of Mira Kubasińska. Breakout crash out in 1980.
