Raveis Kole Biography

Expect the unexpected! Armor piercing lyrics that float like a butterfly and sting like a bee! A cultural cross-pollination mixing Southern California freedom, Middle Eastern mystery, European panache, with a gypsy's adventurous spirit embedded within a matrix of Americana instrumentation and a homage to the unprocessed purity of the great singer/songwriters.

From their home in Bellingham Washington, Laurie Raveis and Dennis Kole create and perform music that is inspired and nurtured by the ocean and honed by the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Their proximity to Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver Canada, adds an alternative and multicultural dimension and willingness to experiment as they create Art in Music featuring caramel smooth vocals and original songs that turn left in a right handed world.

Laurie Raveis and Dennis Kole are voting members and district advocates of the Recording Academy for the GRAMMYS® (NARAS), as well as members of Folk Alliance International, the Americana Music Association, and are BMI and Indie Collaborative artists.

Their most recent project, Electric Blue Dandelion - Nashville Sessions, was released on August 24th, 2018, while the duo was attending and performing as "emerging artists" and Artists-in-Residence at the 9th annual Crown Guitar Festival and Workshop in Bigfork Montana. Raveis Kole was honored to kick off the Festival’s concert series by opening for 3 time Grammy winner Cory Henry, and for legendary blues/rock multi-instrumentalist Edgar Winter and the Edgar Winter Band.

Their songs "Into Me You See (Here & Now)", “Fearless (All In)” and “Thanksgiving (Feel Like Home)” have each been nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media award (HMMA) for best song in the Americana/Folk/Acoustic genre.

Electric Blue Dandelion - Nashville Sessions debuted on the Billboard Magazine Charts at Heatseekers Album #11, Americana/Folk Album Sales #18, and Independent Albums #41.
