Omission

OMISSION started out in the summer of 2003 as a four piece, playing a blend of hardcore with catchy rock riffs not unlike bands as THE BRONX (US) & THE SUICIDE FILE (US). The demo that followed in the beginning of 2004 received rave reviews, and resulted in a 7” vinyl pressing with the help of Reflections Records. After a period of extensively playing shows throughout the Netherlands and writing new songs, OMISSION recorded their first full length “Refuse Regress”, which was put out by Reflections Records in June 2005.

Throughout its short lifespan, the band felt the need for an additional guitar player, but could never find the perfect fit. Luckily by the end of 2005, they found their perfect second guitar player in “stage animal” Pieter, and from then on continued as a five piece.

This February, OMISSION was able to support their hero band MODERN LIFE IS WAR (US) on their European Tour, playing shows in ten countries for three weeks straight. With this successful tour, OMISSION quickly gained widespread exposure throughout Europe, and shortly thereafter, OMISSION was also able to support STRETCH ARM STRONG (US) on their small trip abroad in April.

In May, the band has parted ways with drummer Jan, and has found a replacement in Robert (ex-Uppercut). Current agenda: playing lots of shows, and write kick ass rock for an upcoming release.
