Melissa Brooke Music Biography
From training and riding horses in the country to surfing the coastal waves of her hometown, Melissa Brooke is an all-around Texas girl at only 25 years old. Her fondest memories include listening to her Peepaw play guitar and sing songs by George Jones and Waylon Jennings. At a young age, Melissa knew music would be a big part of her life and at 15 year old, she grabbed an old guitar that was passed down to her daddy, determined to learn how to play it. Within a few moments she figured out Zac Brown Band’s “Chicken Fried” and from there, her adventures began.
Melissa’s first album Texas Rubye included 7 singles that charted in the top 50’s on Texas Radio. Her first single, released in the summer of 2012, “Sticky Situation”, went to number 32 on the charts, opening up a brand new door for her. Within 2012-2013, Melissa was invited to play at the NFR in Las Vegas, California, Florida, and many states surrounding Texas. She has shared the stage with many Texas favorites such as Pat Green, Cody Johnson, Kevin Fowler, Bri Bagwell, and Roger Creager.
After taking a short hiatus from the stage to concentrate on writing, Melissa is ready to burst through those gates once again. With her first radio single from her brand new recording releasing this spring, Melissa is ready to reintroduce herself to Texas Country music and its fans.
