Sneers. Biography
SNEERS. are a two-piece music project formed in Berlin in early 2013 by singer-songwriter and guitarist M. G. Blaankart and drummer Leonardo Oreste Stefenelli.
In 2013 they released their debut album For Our Soul-Uplifting Lights To Shine As Fires followed by numerous gigs between Europe and U.K. With Flames Like Hope To Mortals Given (2016) was announced as the 2nd album and followed by a European tour.
They recorded their 3rd LP HEAVEN WILL RESCUE US, WE'RE THE SCUM, WE'RE IN THE SUN in Berlin in January/ February 2018, with the studio collaboration of Kristof Hahn (SWANS) at the lap-steel guitar. This work, which was anticipated with a play on BBC Radio 6 Music on Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone, was released by Manchester-based label God Unknown Records on September 21st, and was presented through a very extensive tour all across Europe and UK in September and October 2018, with a presentation showcase at Rough Trade's Recommends Night.
