Jesse Dayton can reasonably lay claim to being the one of the coolest people on the planet.From playing guitar as a fifteen year old in all black zydeco bands and recording with the celebrated Rockin' Dopsey while still in his teens, to having Doug Sahm and Flaco Jimenez appearing on his debut solo record, from being personally picked by Waylon Jennings to play lead guitar on his recording Right For The Time, to performing with Johnny Cash, Willy Nelson and Glen Campbell, his resume resembles a who's who of great American musicians. Add to that his world tours with punk superstars like Social Distortion and X, his soundtracks for horror films, zombie ones in particular and his performance as the lead singer and guitarist of the fictional psychobilly band Captain Clegg & the Night Creatures in Halloween II, cool doesn't even start to describe him. A sensational musician and a composer of songs like the heartfelt "Daddy Was A Badass" Jesse Dayton is a true force of nature. His UK appearances are rare events, and it's an honour to be able to host one of his shows.

Jesse Dayton Biography
Jesse Dayton hails from Beaumont Texas and is the living, breathing, drinking embodiment of a cool country soul brother. He performs live regularly throughout Tejas, and whenever feasible, worldwide. His first album 1995's Raisin' Cane included backup from Texas legends like Doug Sahm and Flaco Jimenez and was released on Willie Nelson's Justice label. His 2001 release on his own Stag Records label "Hey! Nash Vegas" also featured a stellar cast of players including Texas fiddle king Johnny Gimble,Dixie Chicks, and Jim Lauderdale.
Dayton now has several more solo albums under his belt these days, and has also played on records by Supersuckers,Ray Price, Waylon Jennings, Tenderloin and three albums with his rockabilly group The Road Kings. In 2005, filmmaker Rob Zombie recruited Dayton to create music under the moniker of Banjo & Sullivan for the soundtrack to horror flick The Devil's Rejects.
Dayton's talent is unmistakable & his all-american appeal is cross genre & generational, allowing him to tour with acts as diverse as George Strait, Mike Ness and Joe Strummer. In November of 2008 he set up a series of regular weekend residencies at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for events like Nascar Week, Bike Week, and the National Rodeo Finals.
Dayton's latest independently released project for 2008 on Stag is "Holdin' Our Own" a duet album with Brennen Leigh in the classic George Jones & Tammy Wynette tradition.
