Justin McCormick Biography

From an early age, Justin McCormick was surrounded by country music. It wasn't long after he learned to talk that he began to have basement jam sessions with his Grandpa, who plays steel guitar. “We would go through this whole Brad Paisley album. That would be our setlist. We’d be down there and I’d be in a cowboy hat and little boots like his. I wanted to be just like him.”

Now age 17, and after years of performing at venues throughout the
Midwest, McCormick finds himself signed as an Emerging Artist to PCG
Universal in Nashville, TN. The CEO of PCG, Bernard Porter, has
managed acts such as Jason Aldean, Jerry Lee Lewis, Joe Diffie, Little
Richard, Michael Ray and Alabama. “People in this industry, they don't
know how to describe it, but they just know it when they see it,”
Porter said. “Justin has it. He has an aura that shines once the
spotlight is on him.”

Justin has gained over 70,000 followers across his social media
platforms. And he is growing thousands of new followers daily.

Justin is said to have the songwriting gene in his blood, being able
to create catchy lyrics, eye grabbing titles and creative melodies. “I
like to combine my love of early 2000’s country, 50’s and 80’s Rock,
and what is happening in Country music today to create a sound unique
to me.” He is currently working on writing songs for his debut EP
which will be released this spring. He has had the honor of working
with some of Nashville’s most talented GRAMMY nominated writers and
producers.

Justin McCormick has a way of connecting with his fans during his live
shows. Having performing at arenas of up to 10,000 people, to smaller
events, Justin finds a way to make every audience member feel like he
is singing just them. Justin’s energy and stage presence on stage
feeds off of him into the crowd. This summer, Justin has tour dates
Dylan Scott, Rodney Atkins and The Josh Abbott Band.

With many impressive projects in the works, Justin’s favorite part of
being an artist remains having an influence on his fanbase. “What
really motivates me every day, growing up in grade school I was
bullied a lot and told I couldn’t be an artist. Even from a young age
in second grade people would tell me this is a stupid dream,” said
McCormick of his experience growing up. “My main goal in my career is
to have an influence on someone who is that second grader being told
their dream is stupid or worthless, that their dream is accomplishable
and they can do the same thing that I am doing.”
