Dallas Frasca Biography
“Sounds like Janis Joplin & Angus Young had a baby and baptised it in Bourbon” – Rolling Stone
“Janis Joplin on steroids… the most powerful female voice in Australian rock” – RockPit
“EVERY now and then a voice comes along that makes you stop in your tracks and listen, and in an industry that is fraught with commercialism, an emergence of real talent is a breath of fresh air” – Australian Musician Mag
“One of the best front-women in the business” – Upside Down News
With a career spanning over a decade, Dallas Frasca stands as a true force of her generation—a charismatic presence on stage, a fierce guitar slinger, and a commanding voice behind the mic. Hailing from North East Victoria, Frasca is now forging a bold new chapter in her illustrious career, breaking away from her renowned rock band to launch her latest power duo venture. Her #2 ARIA-charting album, Force of Nature, showcases her mastery of both electric and acoustic guitars, dynamic live looping, and powerhouse vocals that match the intensity of her electrifying instrumentation and eclectic new chapter.
Having toured the world with over 1,000 live performances—including 10 international tours—Frasca has not only charted a #2 ARIA album independently but also garnered numerous accolades, including ‘Artist of the Year’ at the Independent Music Awards. In 2018, she was a finalist for the inaugural Australian Women in Music Awards in the ‘Artistic Excellence’ category, a testament to her influence and impact on the Australian music scene. She even fronted legendary Aussie rock band Midnight Oil in support of Amnesty International.
Frasca’s festival resume is equally impressive, with appearances at Bluesfest, Falls Festival, Woodford, Queenscliff, and Big Day Out, among many others. From representing Australia at International Earth Day in Canada to performing for over 40,000 at the Le Mans 24-hour circuit race in France, she has graced stages around the globe. Most notably, she displayed her signature guitar prowess to an estimated 1.5 billion viewers during the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games at the Sydney Opera House.
With releases like Force of Nature (2024), Dirt Buzz (2016), Love Army (2015), Sound Painter (2012), and Not For Love or Money (2009), Frasca has shared the stage with icons such as Patti Smith and Earth Wind & Fire. Endorsed by Guns N’ Roses’ own Slash, who praised her “great vocals, riffs, and grooves,” Frasca has amassed a devoted following both locally and internationally.
Her viral single “You Are Beautiful” earned over a quarter-million views and was featured in the acclaimed film Embrace, while her track “All My Love” secured third place among 16,000 entries in the International Songwriting Competition. Further solidifying her global reach, Frasca signed with French label Verycords (Deep Purple, Bjork), and her anthem “Success is the Best Revenge” became the theme song for the global hit TV show Bondi Ink and a collaboration with Californian 90s legends Ugly Kid Joe’s album, Uglier Than They Used To Be hit #10 charts on BBC charts in the UK.
