Nige Hood

NiGE HOOD is a performer originally from Charlotte, NC. His self-developed style Folk Rap is a mix of alternative Hip Hop, Rock and Soul Funk, likeable to artists like Childish Gambino, Chance The Rapper and Miguel. NiGE HOOD brings in his three-piece Folk Rap Band for his live shows, culminating in a style that blends more mainstream hip-hop traditions with funk and folk sounds. The charismatic frontman belts out smooth melodies "with a flare of funk and eloquent, tightly-spouted verses" and a "Nas-like flow." (Triad City Beat). Over the past 2 years, NiGE HOOD has played along the East Coast, blazing the stage of notable venues including Howard Theater (Washington, DC) and SOB's (New York, NY).
