The Music of Josh Cohen

I'll be playing bass with Raine Stern and her band for the Belleville Music in the Park Concert Series. Raine Stern is a young artist from southern Wisconsin. She’s played lead and rhythm guitar for some of Madison’s most renowned groups, such as, Clyde Stubblefield All Stars, Purple Veins (Prince Tribute), etc as a teenager. She’s played at the Majestic Theatre in Madison, joined the stage with Tom Morello (lead guitarist from Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave) at the Monona Terrace at the age of 12, played Madison’s Freakfest in 2017, and is currently recording an album. Raine is also affiliated with organizations such as MAMA (Madison Area Music Association) and has opened for their annual award ceremony event in June of 2016. Other organizations/fests are: NAMI, Wurst of Times Fest, Connor Prairie Fest (Indianapolis), etc… Raine has been compared to guitarists and singers such as Prince, John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Susan Tedeschi, Tash Sultana and many more. Many people have expressed amazement at Raine’s keen and insightful lyrics given her young age. Raine has done collaborative work with local rock, R&B, gospel, pop, EDM, and funk artists.
