Named one of XXL’s “10 Canadians to Know,” Toronto emcee DillanPonders has gone from homeless to packing venues across North America. SHROOM DADDY, as fans affectionately call him, is carving his own lane in hip hop with his innovative hazy, yet cutting and perceptive sound, and larger than life persona on and off stage.

A trapped-out spitter with a powerful delivery, Ponders’ reflective rhymes and gritty sound make his music perfect for a party or sombre solo listening. In his last album ‘NO MANS LAND,’ Ponders created a roadmap of the journey from struggle to success, exploring his process of self-empowerment. He looks to continue his ascent with his forthcoming ‘MATRIX’ LP slated for a Spring 2018 release, a project which invites listeners to take the red pill and build themselves up in the same way he has.

DillanPonders has performed alongside some of contemporary hip hop’s leading artists, including Mac Miller, Travi$ Scott, Joey Bada$$, Ab-Soul, Isaiah Rashad, Flatbush ZOMBIES, Chevy Woods and The Underachievers. He’s performed at SXSW, Manifesto, NXNE, on the Smoker’s Club tours and is an official Red Bull Sound Select artist, and has been featured in some of the genre’s top publications, including Complex, VICE, Noisey, The 405, HipHopCanada, Urbanology Magazine and more.
