Bridging the gap between indie pop and alternative hip-hop Vancouver based Rushden & Diamonds have mastered an original style all of their own.
Inspired by the video games and action movie culture of the 80’s and 90’s, Rushden & Diamonds music and visuals are known to clearly demonstrate the duo’s custom blend of conceptual Canadian music.
R&D have toured in over 25 countries, rocked festivals for hundred's of thousands of people and have shared stages with the likes of Riff Raff, T Pain, Dr. Octagon, Dilated Peoples, Slum Village, Mega Ran plus many more.
In 2012 R&D created 2 original songs for Sega's hit PS3 and Xbox360 title Anarchy Reigns. The songs Fast Lane and They Came From Underground which were produced by acclaimed video game composer Naoto Tanaka quickly became the soundtracks break out singles.
In 2015 R&D released an official remix and music video to Fast Lane re-titled as Cizeta (Official Remix). The single showcases R&D's development as combined songwriters, producers and MC's which can be witnessed both throughout R&D's latest recordings and during their versatile live stage show.
Make sure to look for Rushden & Diamonds performing internationally this year in promotion of their highly anticipated soon to be released album "2020". The album was mixed by Ben Kaplan (Mother Mother, Hedley) and features the likes of Kutmasta Kurt (prod. for The Beastie Boys), Kool Keith, Mega Ran, Rozz Dyliams and more.
