Parkway South

Parkway South is a 4 piece American Rock Band with a lush sound and Blues/Country feel, from Fairfield County, Connecticut. A few of their influences include Jackson Browne, John Mayer, Lady Antebellum, Eric Clapton and Fleetwood Mac.

Founded in 2009 by husband and wife Michael Liebensohn and Heather Prescott Liebensohn, they named themselves after CT’s state route 15 (aka Merritt Parkway) that runs from Fairfield County into New York, where Heather would come up with song ideas during her excruciatingly long daily commutes.

Heather's emotive, soulful and powerful vocals richly blend with Mike's vocals and melodic guitar hooks, while our bassist Doug Wray and drummer Dave Reynolds lock down the groove.

When sharing something raw and personal with the audience, not only does it lighten our own emotional load, but our goal is to make the listener feel something – to laugh, cry, feel empowered, feel validated, feel not alone. That’s the true power of music.
