Southbound Strutt Biography

Originally formed in 1989 with members from the Jacksonville areas, and two members out of San Diego, The band was able to make the right connections, and landed some opening sows for some pretty cool heavy hitters. At the time, the band was not looking to do anything but have a good time and open shows for biker events, fairs, and anyplace they could grab. In 1997 the band lost their drummer, San Diego native Nick Carboni.

It was a decision that took over twenty years to reconsider!
Lead vocalist J.C. decided to bring the Southbound Strutt name back to life, and has made his way back home to the Northeast parts of Indiana. Joining forces with his friend and guitarist Tom Leahy from Ft Wayne Indiana, they began to work on original songs, one of which was co written with long time friend and Hatchet drummer Bruce Crump.

It took a little bit of time to find the right members, but JC and Tom reached out and took that time to make sure the new members had the drive and vision to make Southbound Strutt what it has already become today.

Today the band's focus is giving the fans a 90 minute concert they will remember long after they leave the show...Mixing originals with covers from the hottest Classic Rock / Southern Rock legends.
