Ayanah Gordon-Wallace Biography
Ayanah Gordon-Wallace is a celebrated Contemporary Gospel Artist and Songwriter, currently attracting international attention with her charismatic performances, and radio air play in the nation of Trinidad and Tobago, regionally and internationally. One of her most popular gospel hits Kingdom Woman, sums up who Ayanah is. Not surprisingly, Kingdom Woman debuted at number one on the local gospel charts and remained number one for well over two months, and even overseas, it remained on the top 10 charts for several weeks. The song “Kingdom Woman” has become the standard for Christian women all over the region. Over the years, Ayanah has captivated the hearts of her supporters with her down to earth and practical approach to kingdom living. She is known as a very balanced artiste, as she takes a no nonsense approach to work for the Kingdom of God added to her fun loving personality.
Ayanah has performed here alongside regional and international gospel artistes, such as, Yolanda Adams, Byron Cage, Dietrich Hadden, Papa San, Prodigal Son, Stitchie, and Fred Hammond just to name a few. She has also shared the stage with many of Trinidad and Tobago's top gospel and secular acts. She is being proclaimed as one of the region’s most prolific writers and vocalists. Ayanah continues to spread God’s message through song, perpetuating His gift of music. In recognition of her talents as contemporary gospel vocalist and songwriter, Ayanah was nominated for, and went on to win the award for “Album of the year- Female Artiste”, at the Caribbean Gospel Music Awards held in Trinidad in April 2007. She was also nominated for COTT awards and Marlin Awards.
Although music is her passion, Ayanah is also a sort after financial adviser with the Pan American Life Insurance Company of Trinidad and Tobago. She has achieved and continues to be rewarded for her high standards of operation, integrity in business and high productivity, winning awards in 2015 and 2016 at the company’s awards functions as a result. Ayanah demonstrated her belief in the word of God (Phil 4:13) when she decided to go back to school to pursue a degree in business management along with her husband, Keston Wallace. This power couple excelled in the program, graduating with honours from the University of Hertfordshire through CTS College in Trinidad and Tobago.
Indeed Ayanah wears many hats. She is also a professional vocal coach and is president and founder of Eagle’s Voice Training Courses, a training organisation in operation since 1997. Through this medium she has helped many new and seasoned artistes to come into their own, or further develop their skills. She also uses this as a tool to help heal social ills, as courses are also offered to persons who are less fortunate but very talented and just needs a platform to launch from, giving them hope for a better future.
She enjoys reading, watching movies, writing poems and short stories. In fact she composes most of the songs she sings. Talk about someone who loves a good laugh and you are talking about Ayanah. She is the fourth of seven siblings, who simply loves earth tones and shades of blue, teal being her favourite. She accredits her growth and success to her husband, Keston Wallace who is unwavering in the strong support and covering he gives. Her mother, Eugenia Gordon, her siblings, her in-laws and her Kingdom Community, Inheritance International Centre (church), also forms part of her support system. Ayanah has been a member of Inheritance International Centre for over 12 years. It is a present-truth church pastored by Wayne & Charmaine Brown, in covenant with Congress-WBN. She is one of the church’s main worship leaders and a secondary leader with varying responsibilities. Ayanah remains faithful to and loves serving in her Kingdom Community.
In her career, Ayanah has released 2 albums and 5 singles. Her latest release for 2021, “One Heart One Mind”, is a powerful, potent and thought provoking masterpiece that was clearly given by God for this time and season. A song that calls to order all warriors in the army of God, as we engage in battle towards the end of all things and the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
There is no doubt that Ayanah’s voice and message was predestined for our time. She is a force, a symbol of kingdom accuracy and together with her husband can be expected to impact countless lives for the advancement of the kingdom of God.
