Mimi Cicero Music

Music has been the center of my life since a very young age. Writing my first song in the 5th grade and taking my first voice lesson at the age of 5, music was something that I consistently turned to. While other kids were on Club Penguin, I was on Diva Devotee reading up on Alicia Keys’ vocal strengths and weaknesses. Music set my soul on fire, it made me feel purposed,and it was what made me want to get up from bed each and every morning. I was 12 when I first recorded at a professional recording studio (thanks to begging my parents to take me) and it was that experience that led me to knowing I wanted to be an artist for the rest of my life.

When I was 14, I was diagnosed with health issues that prevented me from singing. It broke me and the I spent the next three and a half years in and out of hospitals with not only deep physical pain, but emotional as well from the fear of never being able to sing again. During the time that I couldn't use my voice, I taught myself piano and guitar to express the music that I had inside of me. At 17, I finally settled with the right doctors and treatment plan that lead me to my recovery. I immediately started writing original songs, took every performance opportunity I could and entered in every singing local competition I could find which led me to meet my producer. We began producing my original songs and eventually... Cloud 8 was born!
