Jared Anderson Music Biography
Nashville songwriter, performing artist & producer/engineer, Jared Anderson believes that a great song has to start with an excellent lyric. Intricate lines that tell a simple story are what he loves best. The Durham, North Carolina native and Berklee College of Music alum draws influences from Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton and John Mayer to name a few. His songs bridge a unique gap between folk, country, and indie-pop with a touch of all his musical heroes. There’s a sense of honesty in his voice when you hear him sing, the kind that is few and far between these days. Now residing in Nashville, he's making his mark in music city, sharing his thought provoking lyrics and heartfelt melodies. He has played shows at The Bluebird Café, and Listening Room to name a few, as well as worked with artists such as Jason Isbell, Judah and The Lion, and Tommy Emmanuel in the studio.
In early 2018 he recorded his debut album, which was produced by the talented Eddie Spear (Brandi Carlile, Anderson East, Chris Stapleton), and is set to be released later this year. Jared says “Its not always easy, and some days I don’t feel like doing it, but when it comes down to it there’s not one other thing that makes me feel the way I do when I write that magic line. The line, that when paired with a melody and chords can make you feel more than just words ever could. I’m just grateful for every day that I get to do this”. Jared is currently preparing for his next major U.S album release and touring the midwest & east coast.
