About this concert
Leeds-based Soul-Rock band Sifaka return to Hi-Fi Sunday Joint. This will be their first gig after several months of writing and recording and will see them play a whole set of never-heard-before material. Not to be missed.***As usual, entry is FREE. Doors open at 10pm with the band on soon after. Our resident DJs will be selecting their finest dancefloor fodder before and after.The HiFi Club's legendary Sunday Joint live music & club event has been playing host to some of the greatest local & international jazz, latin, reggae, funk and salsa bands for the past 18 years. Past guests: Soul Jazz Orchestra, Lack of Afro, Gentleman's Dub Club, Ugly Duckling, 6ix Toys, Mayer Hawthorne, Pama International, Hot 8 Brass Band, Corinne Bailey-Rae, The Heavy, Haggis Horns, New Mastersounds & more.

In 2017 they supported Kaiser Chiefs and Pete Doherty at Bingley Music Live. Following a string of UK Festivals (Live at Leeds, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Bath International Music Festival, HowTheLightGetsIn) Sifaka’s EP Launch was covered in the New York Times and named BBC Introducing’s Gig of the Week. They have supported Toureg legends Imarhan at Brudenell Social Club, and Melt Yourself Down at The Wardrobe.
