Scott Mulvahill Biography
Frontman. Singer-songwriter. World-renowned upright bassist. Multi-instrumentalist. For the past decade, Scott Mulvahill has left his unique mark on the intersecting worlds of Americana, bluegrass, folk, jazz, rock & roll, and roots music. Already acclaimed for his work alongside icons like Ricky Skaggs and Bruce Hornsby, he began making a name for himself as a versatile solo artist with 2018's Himalayas, an acclaimed album that showcased the work of a songwriter whose songs swooned, soothed, and startled the listener in equal measure. In 2020 he followed up with 5 song EP,Creative Potential. Produced by John Fields, Creative Potential showcased Scott’s versatility and pop sensitive songwriting. A road warrior whose highlights include an acclaimed performance on NPR's Tiny Desk concert series, featured slots on Americanafest, and a string of cross-country headlining shows…which all came to a stop last summer during our international pandemic...Scott Mulvahill now turns his attention to the release of SURROUNDED. A 6 song EP build upon that pop sensitive songwriting, but with a perfect level of musical experiment and beautiful arrangements surrounding a single instrument with vocal. This is sit down listen through with intention music. The songs “No One Anyway” and “Say I Love You” have already been released and Scott is currently the featured slot on Apple Music’s Breakout (Singer-Songwriter) Playlist.
