Aren Drift Biography
AREN DRIFT is female fronted progressive rock band based in South coast of England.
The band's distinctive style brings together classic rock with lots of international influences, heavy melodic riffs, unique contralto vocals, seductive lyrics and original music progressions.
The band was formed in 2016 in Brighton and it is named after Czech musician, artist and photographer Aren Drift (Radka Nemcova).
AREN DRIFT (RADKA NEMCOVA) is an independent songwriter, musician, photographer and artist living in Brighton, UK. She was born in Czech and studied music, ballet, photography and art for 9 years. She’s has played and performed at numerous venues and music festivals in Czech since she was 16. She worked as music promoter as well as session singer / backing vocalist for numerous Czech bands. She’s been writing music and lyrics since very young age. In 2016 she formed progrock band which was named after her pseudonym AREN DRIFT. Her music influence is very broad and the roots of her music are coming from classic rock and metal, grunge, nu metal, gypsy music, blues and folk.
DOMINIC CAHILLANE started to play drums at the age of 16. He joined English rock band called Bifteck and they toured in England and they performed and sold out such venues at Shepherds Bush Empire in London and London Astoria as well as they performed in mid-sized festivals as e.g. Guilfest. Then he joined London Alt Punk Rock band called Bundle of ID and they successfully performed many years in London area and south coast of England including the finals of Global Battle Of The Bands. Over the years Dominic developed solid drum skills. He is very committed band member and always good fun!
MATT PLUMLEY is multi-instrumentalist. He plays lead guitar but he is also good bass player and drummer.
He works partly as session guitarist and play all sorts of genders and styles. He's been playing guitar since his childhood and he is great person to work with!
DAVE MOORE is talented professional bass player. He works as a session bass guitarist and guitar / bass guitar tutor. His performing experience varies from original acts and covers bands.
