Caesarius Biography

The band plays Old School Power Metal,
which implies sticking ro classical German Power Metal of the 80s and 90s with both due credit to the pioneers of the genre and altering the classical sound under the 21th century conditions.

The band was formed by Vasi Lichtenberg, Slava Salinger and Andrew Gluss on April 1, 2017 in Moscow. The band's name - Caesarius - was established prior to the first rehearsal. It was chosen from more than 20 variants and seemed the most beneficial. The newborn band also needed to find a drummer and soon started searching. Eventually they found Vitaly Veerbull, former drummer of Arcana Imperia and Eihwaz, and he joined the band on April 15. Caesarius initially had only one song and within a short period of time the guys determined that the song must be recorded as a demo one. Thus, "Kingdom Of Fun" was released on May 18. It led to the raise of interest to the band among certain listeners and the guys played several concerts in notable rock clubs in Moscow. As time went by, there had to be a slight change in the band's lineup by February 2018: the bassist position was filled by Dammy Bexx, former bassist of The Black Aster. The band released its first EP "Dreamland" on March 29, 2018. The guys was on tour and visited Elektrostal, where drummer Vitaly Veerbull was awarded as the best drummer of the year. The band also performed in such cities as Obninsk, Tver, Kaluga, Sergiev Posad, Saint Petersburg and, of course, Moscow. During the year of 2018 Caesarius shared the stage with some famous Russian bands like Crimson Cry.
In early 2019, the band began work on its new release, which was called "Road To Rome". The EP included 4 songs as the previous one. Thanks to the moral and material help of the fans, Caesarius recorded it at the studio of Sergei Lazar, who gave to the EP an epic sound. The band not only released a new various merch, but also planned a new tour. As usual, Caesarius does not stand still and moves only forward. The band has many plans for the near future, including shooting a music video for one of the upcoming songs.
